Community Based Care of Seminole Foster and Adoptive Parenting Classes

Community Based Care (CBC) of Seminole is offering foster and adoptive parent training to Seminole County adults interested in making a difference in children's lives. The ten week, 30-hour course is required to become a licensed foster or adoptive parent. Classes are every Saturday morning from 2/6-4/17.

This casual and exciting weekly meeting is designed to educate and support new and expectant mothers who are planning to nurse. The event is held weekly and open to anyone in the community. Each week a topic as well as the basic information is offered in a discussion focus group. Women are encouraged to attend at least 4 meetings before delivery (but even one is beneficial!) and then are welcome to continue with the group until their baby is weaned. Mothers are welcome to start attending after their baby arrives. Topics include Preparing During Pregnancy, Returning to Work or School, Why Mother's Milk is the Best, Weaning, and How to Help Fathers and Grandparents Participate in Loving the Baby.

He will be presenting "Microsoft Office Tips". John holds a Masters Degree in Educations and is a Certified Zenger-Miller Trainer. He has been training individuals in Central Florida on PCs for the past 25 years. He has taught at several Central Florida colleges, including University of Central Florida and Hillsborough Community College. The attendees will receive tips to be more productive in the Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. He will be giving us tips for 2007 and 2003 versions, so everyone will learn something. "A New Song" in Concert, Grateful Hearts Tour
