9th Annual Turtle Splash
What is a Turtle Splash?
The idea is quite simple. People everywhere will adopt our cute little plastic turtles. We will hold our Turtle Splash event, and race the turtles at Ryckman Park during their Founder’s Day Celebration. They “splash” their way to the finish line. The adoptive “parents” of the winning and placing turtles win valuable prizes. The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project gains community exposure, raises lots of money, helps children with special needs, and everyone has FUN in the process!
What is the Founder’s Day Celebration?
Families get to spend the day together at Ryckman Park, enjoy themselves and help us to make the lives of disabled children and their families a little bit better at the same time! Includes 5K run, arts & crafts, talent show, trickster race, live music, surfing contest, fishing contest, antique car display, food pavilion, inflatable houses, bocce ball contest, street party, food, cold drinks, and so much more!
Who will be there?
We expect between 3,000 and 5,000 participants during the event day activities, and our advertising and marketing promotions of this event will potentially reach between 50,000 – 100,000 or more. Our demographics include our beachside community retirees, seniors, corporate executives, professionals, small business owners, families, children, and children with special needs.
What is The M.O.R.G.A.N. Project?
We are a 501(C)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to providing support, resources, and gently used disability equipment to the parents of chronically ill children with physical disabilities. Much like a Make-A-Wish for the parent, we provide the tools that make their job of caring for their special-needs child a little bit easier, and enhance their quality of life at the same time. Based in Florida, we serve families nationwide, regardless of diagnosis. Visit us online at The Morgan Project.
What is Morgan’s Place?
Morgan’s Place provides a safe environment for parents to bring their children with special health care needs and disabilities for hands-on therapeutic, creative, and fun activity and play in our one-of-a-kind Sensorium – a wireless multi-sensory environment for children with sensory processing disorders and/or physical disabilities.
