Foundamentals of Faith Community Nursing

Faith Community Nurses are registered nurse who recognizes that spiritual care is central to the practice and facilitates wholistic health across the age span of a faith community. This Faith Community Nursing class will educate you about:
Introduction to parish nursing; Scriptual foundations; teaching and Counseling roles; Wellness and Prevention; Management of Practice Resources; Grief counseling; legal Issues; Spiritual Care Giving; Assessment Process; Ethics and Values; Working with Congregations; Practice Development. CEUs will be provided for this course. This curriculum is developed through The International Parish Nurse Resource Center.

Fantasy of Flight's "Haunted Hangar" Walking Tour

Throughout the month of October, visitors to Florida’s premier aviation-themed attraction, can take a spine-tingling walk through the spooky side of Fantasy of Flight. This new creepy tour unravels eerie stories of aviation lore-mysteries from the famous Lost Squadron to Lindbergh’s spectral companions…all guaranteed to add a supernatural gleam to the World’s Greatest Aircraft Collection.

Cost: Free with Fantasy of Flight general admission.
Visitors who bring non-perishable food items that will benefit the Mission in Winter Haven and receive $5 off full-priced admission (adult or child) for each donation from October 1, 2012 - November 14, 2012.

Christmas in July!!!

Devereux Florida is a Non-Profit Organization that works with children and families in times of crisis. For many children it will involve having to leave their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many times they own little clothes, toys, books…one can only imagine.

It is never to early to start thinking about those Christmas Wish List thoughts that your own children are bringing to you and so won’t you please sponsor a child(ren) for Christmas by filling their toy wish list! Call or email me and we can get you started!

Sanlando Pumpkin Patch

The Pumpkin Patch features thousands of affordably priced pumpkins, gourds & other fall decorations. It’s the perfect place for family photos and a fun game area for the little ones.
