6th Annual Downtown Clermont Art Festival (DCAF2012)

FREE event. There will be juried fine arts and crafts, kid’s interactive area, and live performances. We will be featuring nationwide performing violinist LoriJean Smith, Saturday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. She will also be at First Baptist of Orlando worship and events the evening of the 3rd and all day the 4th. Featured artist Bill Bernoir will bring lifelong art experience and recent work of recycled plastic, acrylics, etc.

Friday the 2nd: Family Food Trucks from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Artist Reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the South Lake Art Gallery.

Saturday the 3rd: DCAF 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Pancake Breakfast at South Lake Historic Village served by Kiwanis of SL from 7:45 a.m. to 11 a.m. 

Sunday the 4th: DCAF 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Farmers Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is located between 7^th and 8^th street on DeSoto Road. Enjoy art, music, food and beverages, and shop downtown Clermont.

Eternity: The Ultimate Experience

This dramatic production about life after death will take place November 3rd-7th, 7:00 p.m. nightly at NorthRidge Church. Everyone is welcome. Please note there will not be childcare available. This event is not recommended for children under the age of 10 due to the intense depiction of life and death.

Ride Ataxia Orlando 2012

Outback Steakhouse and Carrabba’s Italian Grill are proud to partner with the Friedreichs Ataxia Research Alliance(FARA) for a day of physical achievement and family fun. Ride Ataxia will offer 16, 25, and 50 mile cycling routes on scenic country roads.

Ride ataxia benefits FARA- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to a cure for Friedreich’s ataxia (FA). FA is a debilitating, lifeshortening, degenerative neuro-muscular disorder. Ride ataxia cycling events across the country have raised invaluable awareness for FA and funded over $1 million in FA research grants in just 5 short years.

Warrior-Walk

Come show your appreciation and support of our US military troops, with a 1 mile walk around Earl Brown Park in Deland. This walk will raise money to send care packages to deployed troops and to create new programs to help our military men & women before, during and after deployments. It’s just a little way we can say thanks for the freedom they allow us to have. This event is hosted by Operation Care 4 R Troops. Registration is required and is a $10 per person/$25 per family donation. Familystuf Production

Familystuf is a fun, energetic, and creative show designed specifically for parents and their kids to enjoy together. The first Sunday of each month (October-June), this 35 minute production will introduce all of us to a new virtue/life app. Familystuf empowers your family to be “virtue-ly” transformed all month long. You will use games, illustrations, and special application tools provided in the Familystuf-to-go bag to help parents and kids to become more grateful, generous, and full of faith to name a few. November’s virtue is cooperation.
