Living Christmas Tree

The Living Christmas Tree is a Christmas musical sung by choir members in a big tree. We ask that people send a self-addressed stamped envelope with their date request and number of tickets. We are also asking for a $4 donation either with the request or at the show.

Shows are Thursday, November 29^th, Friday the 30^th, Saturday the 1^st and Sunday the 2^nd at 7:00 p.m. We also have a matinee on Saturday the 1^st at 2:00 p.m.

Friday night is children’s night, which means each child will receive a small prize.

Christmas in July!!!

Devereux Florida is a Non-Profit Organization that works with children and families in times of crisis. For many children it will involve having to leave their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many times they own little clothes, toys, books…one can only imagine.

It is never to early to start thinking about those Christmas Wish List thoughts that your own children are bringing to you and so won’t you please sponsor a child(ren) for Christmas by filling their toy wish list! Call or email me and we can get you started!

Hospice Volunteer Training

Volunteer Training will be held at the Cornerstone Hospice offices in Orlando, South Orange Ave. just north of Sandlake Rd. on Friday, Nov. 30 and Friday, Dec. 07 from  9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. This is a 16-hour certification and interested participants should plan to attend both training days. Training location will be at Cornerstone Hospice, 8009 S. Orange Ave., Orlando, FL 32809. Lunch and snacks will be provided.

Toy Drive for Children

Living Hope International Ministry, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide long term residential and outreach services to hurting women. We give them the opportunity to change their lifestyle and recover from chemical dependency, abuse and a dysfunctional life through the program services that we offer. Our Children of Hope program provide services to the children of incarcerated parents. The children of hope program has been helping the children of incarcerated parents for over 10 years. On December 16, 2012 we will be hosting our 10th annual Christmas Party for children ages 2-16. Together we can make it happen. For more information please call: 407.422.6797

The Gift Festival/Holiday Lights Orlando

The city’s official Christmas live tree will arrive at Lake Eola Park this Friday, Nov. 16 — a gift to the city residents from Trinity Lutheran Church. Members will decorate the tree Nov. 23-26 for its lighting by Mayor Dyer during The Gift Festival and Holiday Lights Orlando on Friday, Nov. 30th. Festivities include The Food Truck Bazaar, arts and crafts vendors, the tree lighting, The Gift musical stage show with Trinity School chidren’s play, massed choir performance, candle-lit sing-along and the movie, Elf.

EcoCamp-In with Snoopy and Friends

Bring the whole family to the History Center for a night of environmentally friendly fun, and explore the Peanuts…Naturally exhibition. Play games, make flip book cartoons, create a terrarrium from recycled materials, and watch a movie. Learn how we can all help preserve the environment. Evening snack and breakfast included. Bring sleeping bag and pillow. This event starts on the evening of November 30th and ends December 1st at 8 a.m.
