23 Days of Giving

We want to provide three meals a day for three local families for the 23 days school is out over Christmas. To participate, add your family’s favorite recipe to a recipe card. (Please feel free to make more than one). Go shopping and only purchase the non perishable items for the recipe. It can be breakfast, lunch or dinner. Feel free to give money or Publix gift cards (Any money/card collected will go towards Christmas dinners from Publix). Make sure recipe cards and food are kept together and dropped off at Suntree United Methodist Church by 2 p.m. on December 16th, 2012. God bless you for your generosity! Christmas in July!!!

Devereux Florida is a Non-Profit Organization that works with children and families in times of crisis. For many children it will involve having to leave their homes due to abuse, neglect or abandonment. Many times they own little clothes, toys, books…one can only imagine.

It is never to early to start thinking about those Christmas Wish List thoughts that your own children are bringing to you and so won’t you please sponsor a child(ren) for Christmas by filling their toy wish list! Call or email me and we can get you started!

Moms4Moms

Moms4Moms is a group that serves as an oasis of peace and hope offering answers to various situations that moms of young children encounter every day. We provide sounds biblical guidance and vibrate relationships so she can thrive in the many seasons of motherhood! Meetings include food, guest speakers, games and crafts just to name a few! This group is open to any mother of an infant or preschool aged children as well as homeschooling families. Childcare is provided. We meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. in room B-7. Please contact Katie for more information: kw4moms@gmail.com

Toy Drive for Children

Living Hope International Ministry, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide long term residential and outreach services to hurting women. We give them the opportunity to change their lifestyle and recover from chemical dependency, abuse and a dysfunctional life through the program services that we offer. Our Children of Hope program provide services to the children of incarcerated parents. The children of hope program has been helping the children of incarcerated parents for over 10 years. On December 16, 2012 we will be hosting our 10th annual Christmas Party for children ages 2-16. Together we can make it happen. For more information please call: 407.422.6797

MOSAIC - Mothers of Small and Infant Children

Mothers of Small and Infant Children (MOSAIC) is an exciting ministry that serves to provide an atmosphere where moms can feel safe to share their thoughts about motherhood, family, and faith and to know that they are not alone. Come join fellow moms for fellowship, food, guest speakers, bible study, and creative activities! Meetings will be held from 9:15 a.m.-11:30 a.m. the second and fourth Tuesday from September through May. Child care is provided. Meetings are held at Christ Community Church in Daytona Beach. There is a $25 registration fee for the year and a $5 per meeting fee.

Seminole County Peer Counselor Support Group

This casual and exciting weekly meeting is designed to educate and support new and expectant mothers who are planning to nurse. The event is held weekly and open to anyone in the community. Each week a topic as well as the basic information is offered in a discussion focus group. Women are encouraged to attend at least 4 meetings before delivery (but even one is beneficial!) and then are welcome to continue with the group until their baby is weaned. Mothers are welcome to start attending after their baby arrives. Topics include Preparing During Pregnancy, Returning to Work or School, Why Mother’s Milk is the Best, Weaning, and How to Help Fathers and Grandparents Participate in Loving the Baby. Also meets at: 112 Sausalito Blvd, Casselberry, FL.
