TheLocal Heroes Offer Category 3 seats for La Nouba are $48.75 (adult) and $39.00 (child), plus tax. A Year in the Life: Backstage to Onstage at Universal Orlando Resort Exhibition

In an unprecedented collaboration, Universal Orlando Resort and the Orange County Regional History Center in Orlando, Fla., present A Year in the Life: Backstage to Onstage at Universal Orlando Resort, an exhibition that gives visitors an exclusive look at the extensive process that goes into bringing the theme park’s iconic annual events to life. Opening January 26, 2013, and running through January 26, 2014, the exhibition will change with each Universal Orlando Resort event season and the holidays – focusing on The Macy’s Holiday Parade and performances by Holiday Music Sensation Mannheim Steamroller. It also showcases the creative process that brought to life two of Universal Orlando Resort’s newest entertainment experiences – the Universal Cinematic Spectacular – 100 Years of Movie Memories lagoon show and the Universal Superstar Parade.

Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand Exhibit

Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand exhibit, opens President’s Day weekend and remains open through Memorial Day. Guests to Brevard Zoo can take their walk on the wild side to new depths of art and history as they traverse a 1/4-mile trail taking in 13 incredible sand sculptures carved into the native landscape of Brevard Zoo. Created by eight international sand sculptors, this exhibit shares the Florida story – tracing the history of wildlife and humans on our peninsula. Hear the sounds of a time gone by as you view these breathtaking artistic and historical sculptures – just in time to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s first exploration of North America.

This exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 16 through May 27. It has a separate admission price (in addition to Zoo admission) of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Children under 2 are free.

Moms4Moms is a group that serves as an oasis of peace and hope offering answers to various situations that moms of young children encounter every day. We provide sounds biblical guidance and vibrate relationships so she can thrive in the many seasons of motherhood! Meetings include food, guest speakers, games and crafts just to name a few! This group is open to any mother of an infant or preschool aged children as well as homeschooling families. Childcare is provided. Calvary Christian Academy Pre-School, VPK and Kindergarten Round-Up

Calvary Christian Academy offers a comprehensive program for pre-schoolers age 6 weeks and up as well as a Free VPK program for 4 year olds. We offer a full day Kindergarten program with enhanced programming. On February 19th, we will host a Round-Up event for all interested families of Pre-school, VPK and Kindergarten students at 6:30 p.m. Please come to learn more, talk to the teachers, and tour the facilities. Special activities and supervision will be offered for your VPK and Kindergarten aged students during the round-up. Watoto Children's Choir - Beautiful Africa: A New Generation

Saint Philip Lutheran Church is proud to host the Watoto Children’s Choir and their concert “Beautiful Africa: A New Generation,” Tuesday, February 19, 2013, 7:00 p.m. in our Family Life Center.

“With vibrant, new original music, dance routines, life-transforming stories; and exciting audiovisual effects, the tour is indicative of the dynamic generation of leaders coming out of the Watoto program.

With a message of hope and inspiration, experience the Watoto Children’s Choir – ambassadors of the millions of orphan and vulnerable children in Africa.”

The concert is free and open to the public.  A love offering will be received to support this ministry and those in attendance may wish to purchase musical CD’s of the group and other African crafts.
