Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand ExhibitLocation: Brevard Zoo, Melbourne FL Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand exhibit, opens President’s Day weekend and remains open through Memorial Day. Guests to Brevard Zoo can take their walk on the wild side to new depths of art and history as they traverse a 1/4-mile trail taking in 13 incredible sand sculptures carved into the native landscape of Brevard Zoo. Created by eight international sand sculptors, this exhibit shares the Florida story – tracing the history of wildlife and humans on our peninsula. Hear the sounds of a time gone by as you view these breathtaking artistic and historical sculptures – just in time to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s first exploration of North America. This exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 16 through May 27. It has a separate admission price (in addition to Zoo admission) of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Children under 2 are free.
