We’ll be offering free Hepatitis C tests, free HIV testing, free blood pressure checks, and free occult blood testing. Allergy screenings, hormone screenings, and DNA -PGX screenings will be free with insurance.

Join us for CPR demonstrations, LA Fitness gym passes, nutritional advice, fitness game plans, BMI testing, strength training program, and metabolism advice all for free! You’ll be able to enter our raffles for a chance to win a free colonoscopy, endoscopy, or mammogram certificate.

High Tea & Hats: Save Your Spot to Help Serve C. Fla Seniors

WHAT:

Dress in your most spectacular hat for a delightful afternoon celebrating Seniors First, a non-profit organization providing vital support to enhance the quality of life for seniors living in Orange and Seminole Counties. The Rosen Plaza Hotel hosts the Tenth Annual High Tea & Hats event to benefit Seniors First with exotic teas, scrumptious tea sandwiches, desserts and fresh fruit.

Guests will participate in the annual stylish hat contest and parade plus enjoy the Itsy Bitsy Hat Parade, just for kids. Bid on fabulous items available in the silent and chance auctions, and purchase tickets for a chance to win the “Wall of Wine” and the Grand Prize trip to Las Vegas, all while raising funds to support Seniors First in its mission to maintain seniors’ dignity and independence with nutritional assistance and other much-needed support. Individual tickets are now available; $65 for an adult ticket and $40 for children 12 and under. Tables and sponsorships are also available.

Celebrity emcees and hat judges will preside over the festivities, and the 2017 Hats Off Award winner will be presented, recognizing a person or organization for their support of the community and the mission of Seniors First. Past Hats Off Award recipients include Lowndes, Drosdick, Kantor & Reed, HUB International; Harris Rosen, President of Rosen Hotels & Resorts; and Central Florida philanthropist Harriett Lake.

Messiah Choral Society Sing-Along

If you love to sing or just want to sit back and enjoy this beautiful music, we invite you to be part of our annual Sing-Along. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get a ‘taste’ of George Frederick Handel’s “Messiah”. Dr. John V. Sinclair, Music Director and Conductor of the Messiah Choral Society for the past 30 years will be with us as we perform this most magnificent and powerful musical composition.

MAYSfest 2017

The Metropolitan Area Youth Symphony performs its Season Finale MAYSfest 2017 at the Bob Carr Performing Arts Center on April 30th at 4 p.m. This concert will feature all of the students from MAYS Orlando, Lake County, and MAYS’ school programs as well as a special solo cello appearance by Orlando Philharmonic’s Music Director, Eric Jacobsen, who will perform with Maureen May and the orchestra. Come hear the magic of Mozart, the inspiration of modern composers, as well as the power of over 250 students playing onstage together. Tickets are on sale at Dr.Phillips Center.

Kumamoto Earthquake Benefit Concert

Kumamoto earthquakes occurred on 14th April 2016 in the south part of Japan. Its recorded magnitude of 7.0  happened twice and there were hundreds of smaller quakes. The people and cities in the area are moving forward to recover from the tragedy. We will have a special report from Hiroko Kojima who currently lives in Kumamoto. She will talk about what has been happening there from then to now. The popular beloved Japanese music that reminds you of nostalgic Japan played and sung by Megumi. You can help by donating.
