Brevard For Life 25th Anniversary Celebration

Location: First Baptist Church of Merritt Island, Merritt Island Florida

Come celebrate with us! Join us for a countywide celebration of life and the incredible faithfulness of God on April 25, 2015, starting at 7:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island.

Tickets will be available beginning March 15, 2015 through the Brevard for Life Website.  Admission is free.

Guest speaker: Pam Tebow

Pam enjoys speaking for women’s groups, nonprofit fundraisers, and various events in many cities across the country, and is currently writing a book on parenting. The notoriety of the Tebow family increased when their youngest son won the Heisman Trophy following his sophomore football season with the Florida Gators. Because ESPN aired the portion of the interview with Pam that focused on her refusal to abort “Timmy” when she was advised to do so, she has been given a national platform to encourage the pro-life message. In 2010, Pam and Tim were in a Super Bowl commercial that celebrated family and life, which, according to a Barna survey, resulted in 5.5 million people “having cause to rethink their stand on abortion.” Pam is also passionate about encouraging women to trust the Lord with all their hearts for all their lives and to use the incredible influence God has given them to eternally impact their world.

Visit us online at Brevard For Life for more information! Or call us at 321.4549853.

Calamity Jane

Location: Orlando Repertory Edyth Bush Theatre, Orlando Florida

‘Calam’ dresses like a man, totes a gun and drives the Deadwood City stagecoach. Well-meaning, but disaster-prone, she tries to help the local saloon proprietor out of a jam by promising to fetch a music-hall star from Chicago. A hilarious comedy, it nevertheless has many tender moments and some very famous numbers, including “Secret Love”, “Black Hills Of Dakota, “Deadwood Stage” and “Windy City.”

Deadwood City’s two most famous peace officers, Calamity Jane and Wild Bill Hikock, get involved in saving the neck of Henry Miller, the local saloon operator. It seems that “Millie” has been promoting a beautiful actress named Frances Fryer, but Frances turns out to be a boy, Francis. Millie’s attempt to cover up is soon unmasked by the angry miners. To keep the peace, Calamity sets out for Chicago to bring back the miner’s real heart-throb, Adelaide Adams. What happens next is more mistaken identities; but at the end true love is found! Tickets can be purchased at Calamity Jane Circle Theater Company (ticket prices are $12-$14).

Performances:

June 4 & 5th | 7:30 p.m.
June 6th | 2:30 p.m. &  7:30 p.m.
