K-5 Grade Performing Arts Summer Camp


Location: Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Orlando Florida

We just opened up registration for Summer 2013! Join us for an exciting week of singing, dancing, and acting that culminates in a huge showcase for family and friends. We are also partnering with several Arts organizations in Central Florida to provide fun and interactive workshops during each afternoon that are included in the price of camp!

Workshops include:

  • Dance and Movement-Yow Dance
  • Painting and Art- Crealde’ School of Art
  • Improv and Comedic Acting- Improv Troupe
  • Instrumental Music and Performance- Central Florida Community Orchestra

Beginner Camp (entering Kindergarten- 5th Grade)

  • Presenting the musical “A Kid’s Life: a how- to musical guide for a day filled with adventure, music and imagination- all without fancy gadgets!”
  • Date: Monday, June 10th- Friday June 14th (extended care will be available until 5:00 p.m. at $10 per day)
  • Time: 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • Camp Showcase: Friday, June 14th at 6:30 p.m.

  • Cost: $175.00 including snacks, lunch, and rehearsal CD

Elite Animation Academy  is offering Weekly Summer Program Sessions for 8 weeks starting June 10 to August 9. We are former Walt Disney Animators. Read To Me Story Time (Orlando Baby and Me in Spanish)

We love and support weekly FREE story time at your local library hence we do do have weekly scheduled story times here…INSTEAD we offer SPECIAL GUEST STORY TIMES once a month where we invite local authors, teachers and story tellers to our imagination stage to share stories that are sure to spark the imagination! These special story times are scheduled on a Tuesday or Thursday during the month.

Social Security 101

The Counsel for Caregivers Seminar Series is a monthly program intended to help caregivers find answers to their questions. The objectives for this session include:

  • How do I get my social security card?
  • What is the difference between SS, SSI and SSDI?  When is which appropriate?
  • What are the downsides of applying for SS @ age 62? (Do I get colas?)
  • Can I apply for SSDI @ 62?
  • What is the compassionate allowance program?
  • How do I apply for benefits?
  • What’s the latest on retirement age and how much money I’ll receive?
  • If I continue to work, can I still receive social security?
  • Who does not qualify for SS?
  • If my husband took early SS (62) for 1 year and then dies.  I continue working, and at the age 67 retire. Do I get his reduced benefits?
  • Can I pay back the amount he received in early retirement and then get full benefits?
  • What are the things most people don’t know about social security?

Adventure Christian Church VBS


Location: Adventure Christian Church, Tavares Florida

Lower the drawbridge! At this year’s VBS, children will learn about standing strong in the truth. We will be using our swords (the Bible) to learn about the Creator King, The Savior King, King Josiah, King Solomon, and the King of Kings. Children will join a traveling troupe and head to the Great hall where there will be music, dancing and an introduction to the nightly theme. Then they will head off on their quest to travel through the learn-a-lot chambers, the Craft courtyard, the Cook’s Kitchen and Sir Gavin’s Games. The night will end with live drama and some friendly competition. Join us for  a royal adventure!
