Free Parenting Workshop


Location: St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Orlando Florida

Dr. Joanne Mac Pherson, Director of the Community Counseling Center at St. Luke’s will talk about the challenges of raising children the demands it places on parents to grow themselves as individuals. Each week will focus on a different age group and teach appropriate  parenting strategies for that age.You’ll need Skype CreditFree via Skype. All classes will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 pm in Building B Room 203.You can attend all or one of the workshops.

2014 "Fully Committed" 2 Day Women's Retreat


Location: Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, Leesburg Florida

Saturday evening Renee Swope, co-host of Proverbs 31 Ministries’ radio program and best-selling author of “A Confident Heart,” will be our keynote speaker and Francesca Battistelli will perform a special concert. There will also be a keynote speaker and a concert on Friday night as well. During the day Saturday there will be opportunity for group meetings, pertinent workshops, and special activities designed just for women!

The cost:
For the entire weekend (2 nights lodging, 6 delicious meals, and the program) is $200 per person.
For groups of 10 or more the cost is reduced to $175 per person.

Swing for The King: EA Sports to Benefit Arnold Palmer Scholarship Fund


Location: Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club, Orlando Florida

The Swing for the King presented by EA Sports to benefit The First Tee of Central Florida’s Arnold Palmer Scholarship Fund:

Provides program-related expenses throughout the year such as student scholarships and equipment for participants of The First Tee program in Central Florida. The event is named in honor of the great Mr. Arnold Palmer (a.k.a. “The King”), who has been a supporter of The First Tee and The First Tee of Central Florida through its Trustee Program. In addition to traditional tournament play, players at the Swing for the King tournament can also participate in the “Big Break Challenge” as they head from the 9th Green to the 10th Tee. The winner of the Big Break Challenge will receive a Big Break Replica Trophy, and bragging rights for a whole year! Last year, Golf Channel Personalities Holly Sonders and Charlie Rymer did meet and greets with all of the participants and Morning Drive Hosts Gary Williams and Damon Hack provided an intimate question and answer session for all participants during lunch. Harmony Music & Arts Festival

Harmony’s Town Square in east Osceola County will be the setting for the 2nd Annual Harmony Music & Arts Festival, Saturday (11 a.m. – 10 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m. – 5 p.m.), September 27th and 28th, 2014.
