Community Yard Sale and Adoption Fundraiser

Come join us for our community yard sale and adoption fundraiser. Many families have generously donated items for our sale. We have many great items including Ethan Allen furniture, home decor, TV’s, clothing, toys, antique dolls, quilting fabric, just to name a few! The sale is May 24th and 25th from 7 a.m. – 1 p.m. All donations will be used to fund our adoption and help bring our baby home!

11th Annual Greater Oviedo 5k Run/Walk

Compete for a trophy or walk for fun! This Memorial Day weekend event is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Register for only $15 through April 15, $25 April 16-May 21, and $30 May 22-25, 2013. Special $20 registration is available for all current and veteran military and civil service personnel April 16-May 25. You can register or find more details online at the Greater Oviedo 5K.

Team up with your neighbors or co-workers or running friends and compete for a team trophy. Make a day of it and stay for the FREE Kids’ Fun Run following the race and trophy presentations, all on the First Baptist Oviedo campus.

Greater Oviedo 5k

The Greater Oviedo 5k Run/Walk is coordinated by First Baptist Oviedo. Last year had over 700 registered runners! This year’s race will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 beginning and ending on the First Baptist Oviedo campus in front of the new Worship Center. There will be a pre-race presentation of colors, National Anthem and opening prayer before the 7:30 a.m. race start time. Following the race, trophy presentations will be in the Hangar along with some vendors for your consideration.

ASGO 8th Annual Autism Walk and Family Fun Day

The Autism Society of Greater Orlando will be hosting their 8^th  Annual Autism Walk & Family Fun Day on Saturday, May 25, 2013 at the Orange County Convention Center. Our Special Guests will address the crowd, and talk to the families and friends of those who struggle with autism every day.  The Walk, hosted by the Autism Society of Greater Orlando, will be held from 9 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., INSIDE the South Concourse of the Convention Center.

The goal of the event is to increase autism awareness, and to raise funds; 100% of the proceeds raised will remain here in Central Florida. Besides the Walk, there will also be a raffle, silent auction, games, moon bouncers for the kids, a sports corner for Dad, and massages for Mom!
