Foster Parents Desperately Needed

The state is on a mission to recruit 1,200 “new generation” foster families in 12 months in an attempt to be more selective in finding foster parents willing to love a child as their own. One area non-profit it trying to help them meet that goal.

Open Hearts Family Services, a program operated by the Florida United Methodist Children’s Home is holding a series of question and answer sessions to help the state recruit faith based foster parents. The next session is Sunday, May 19th at 3:00 p.m. in Maitland.

As a foster parent, you will experience the joy of nurturing a child. You will also have the satisfaction of knowing you have made a positive difference in the life of a child.

Reaching Mormons for Christ

Who we are:
Russ East is a former Mormon (4th generation), saved out of the LDS church and now serves as Director of Utah Partnerships for Christ (UPFC).

Barry & Jennifer Smith are native Floridians who have been called by God to move to Utah and share the Gospel with Mormons. (Utah Bound blog)

Adam’s Road is a Christian band who are each former Mormons.

The Event:
Russ will share Bible verses for you to remember when speaking with a Mormon and will answer the question, “Are Mormons truly Christians”?

Adam’s Road will be performing and giving their testimonies.

Barry & Jennifer will share how God has called them and where they are now.

Community "Eat and Greet" Potluck

Come out, meet your neighbors and join us for this month’s community potluck.

Interested in learning how to get started with a container garden? This month, we are pleased to have a long-time Audubon Park resident, on hand, to teach and share some of this best-practice container gardening tips and techniques, as well as, answer your questions.

Worship Songs Release Party

This is an open event for anyone who would like to support Joshua Kessler in his effort to record a full length worship album. This party will feature a performance by Joshua with his worship band, a message from youth pastor Jared Jeter, and the release of the recorded worship songs to the public. There will be more activity prior to the performance such as food and raffle entries for free copies of the worship songs. A great event for encouragement in the body of Christ and a night of worship.
