The 2015 Fight for Air Climb presented by Florida Hospital will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015. Join us in making a commitment to fighting lung disease, as well as committing to our efforts to breathe healthier. Challenge yourself by climbing 25 floors/512 steps in the Fight for Air Climb. The American Lung Association continues to fight lung disease so everyone in the community can live a healthier life style, and benefit from this exhilarating event. Please join us in the battle for healthy air!

Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America Orlando Awareness Walk

Location: Blue Jacket Park, Orlando Fl

The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America’s local Orlando Chapter is hosting their 5th annual awareness walk at Blue Jacket park this year.

Come join us for a wonderful time of hope, celebration, encouragement and awareness. There will be snow-cones, popcorn, bounce houses, face painting, balloon artists and a photo booth available for free.

This event is free to the community.

We will also be hosting a ticketed BBQ dinner. Tickets will be available to purchase at the event.

Our group is filled with brave individuals who fight against a rare disease with no cure. Come help us be a part of our success and our journey to hope!

DivorceCare is a weekly seminar and support group for healing from a marriage breakup. You will learn practical information that will help you deal with the challenges of divorce. DivorceCare for Kids, DC4K, provides a safe, fun place where your children will learn to understand their feelings, express their emotions appropriately, feel better about themselves and develop coping skills. A Night of Music, Stories and Community—Where Everyone is Welcome

Acoustic Nights is known for featuring the music of talented Christian singer/songwriters in an intimate acoustic setting. Acoustic Nights is happy to be hosting The Table Tour, with Brandon Heath, Nichole Norderman and Love & The Outcome at Celebration Community Church in Celebration Florida.

Tables bring people together and The Table Tour is no different—to build a community of artists and fans. The Table Tour is a unique concert-like experience showcasing artists coming together, sharing both song and story, welcoming attendees to pull up a chair, and raising awareness and support for Feed the Children and their efforts to end childhood hunger in the United States.

Artists for the first run of the tour will include multiple-award-winning artists Brandon Heath, Love & The Outcome, and Nichole Nordeman.

Brandon Heath is one of the best in the industry at telling stories through his music, and the next chapter is about to start. On February 10, Brandon will release a new album of compelling and personal stories entitled, No Turning Back. Heath is a seven time Dove award winner (twice for Male Vocalist of the year,) multiple Grammy Award nominee, Emmy-winning songwriter known for his radio hits including four #1 singles, Your Love, Wait & See, I’m Not Who I Was, and Give Me Your Eyes. Brandon Heath seems headed to the top of the charts again with the title track of his upcoming release, No Turning Back, already top 15 on the AC chart. Heath plans to share stories, fan favorites, and introduce the audience to his collection of great new songs during his set.

Love & The Outcome is the emerging husband/wife duo of singer/songwriter Jodi King and bass player/songwriter Chris Rademaker. They believe Love & The Outcome is both a name and life story. The duo sold their Canadian condo and set off on an international musical road trip. Love & The Outcome were recent winners of three Covenant Awards (including Album of the Year and Group of the Year) at the Canadian Dove Awards show held in British Columbia. Adding momentum to the success they are already having, their singles King of My Heart and He Is With Us are exciting fans as to what they will do next!

Nichole Nordeman is one of Christian music’s most profound singer/songwriters with critical acclaim throughout her career. She garnered awards for Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year and many others as one of the industry’s premier female artists before stepping away to be home and raise her children, her greatest treasures, Charlie and Pepper. Now, Nordeman is returning to active touring and recording after her multiple year break. A self-described “wrestling poet” she is also an acclaimed author. Nordeman’s new music is hitting radio airwaves in the next few weeks with a brand new single. Fans and gatekeepers are ecstatic about her return and anxiously await her new album releasing later this year.

Moving Day, a Walk for Parkinsons, is a fundraising event designed to
create greater awareness – not just the importance of movement, but of
Parkinson Disease itself, a movement disorder. The Central Florida
Chapter anticipates more than 500 participants, which will include people
with Parkinson Disease, their families and friends, healthcare
professionals, corporate leaders and corporate teams. A unique feature
of each Moving Day event is the Movement Pavilion, which will include
activities such as yoga, Tai Chi, dance and more. Participants concerned
about completing the walk can still be moving as their teammates
complete the route. It is free to register to walk at Moving Day®, although
we do hope walkers will fundraise on behalf of NPF Central Florida and
the National Parkinson Foundation.
