Join us at the 7th Annual CF Climb, in honor of
Kasey Rose Orr

Kasey was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 18 months old. Unlike a lot of others living with CF, Kasey’s issues are more GI related. In 1995, she was placed on the list for a liver transplant and was diagnosed with CF related diabetes. At 13 years old, she was giving herself up to 6 shots a day and due to a failing pancreas, had a feeding tube placed, in an effort to help her put on weight, as she waited for the call that would save her life.

That call came on November 22, 1997. On November 23rd, as she woke from surgery, she found out that not only did she receive a liver, but a pancreas as well and no longer had to rely on insulin or enzymes. It was the greatest news ever for her and her family.

Kasey truly is the ultimate CF Warrior. She is full of fight and determination and will not stop until a cure is found for this disease. She has participated in all but one CF Climb and in 2014, Kasey’s CF Warriors Team was awarded the top team fundraiser, raising $12,000. Not only is she a great fundraiser, she is always willing to help others, whether it be a parent of a child with CF or an adult with CF, she makes herself available. She is also a great support to the CF Foundation, volunteering at many of our other events throughout the year. These are just a few of the wonderful things Kasey does, the list goes on and on.

Today, Kasey is a beautiful, young woman who lives her life to the fullest, grateful for the gifts that she was given that day in November. She married the love of her life, Erik this past May and this year she will be celebrating her 19th transplant anniversary as well as her 33rd birthday. It just so happens that the date of the Climb is on her birthday weekend! We have a lot to celebrate!
Join us in honoring Kasey Rose Orr at the CF Climb on August 27th!
