DogFest Walk 'n Roll


Location: UCF Memory Mall, Orlando Florida

Grab a leash and be part of Orlando’s Canine Companions’ DogFest Walk ‘n Roll on Sunday, November 9th. It will be held on the campus of the University of Central Florida, at the Memory Mall, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. It’s a community dog walk that supports the mission of Canine Companions for Independence. There will be many fun activities and the parking is FREE! We’ll be offering Canine Good Citizen testing, fun games for you and your dog, plenty of prizes to win and demonstrations from UCF’s Canine Team! And if your wanting to be apart of the movement; put together a team of friends, family members and coworkers. Then fundraise as a team! You can earn a cool DogFest prizes, and if you raise $100, you’ll get a DogFest bandana to sport at DogFest!

Central Florida Premiere of new UK musical featuring music by composer Piers Chater Robinson and brilliantly adapted by Chris Blackwood from the classic novel by Lewis Carroll. When Alice is waiting for her parents guests to arrive, she plays chess with herself to relieve the boredom. She meets a strange guest, Mr Dodgeson (Lewis Carroll) who tries to show her that her imagination is the one thing that makes her special. Join Alice as she meets eccentric characters like the Red Queen, White Knight, Humpty Dumpty, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and many more in the land through the looking glass. You will be entertained and moved by 12 glorious songs in this magical land.

Healing Mission with Fr. Nigel Mumford


Location: All Saints Church, Winter Park FL

Healing Mission- Fr. Nigel Mumford, former director of the Healing Ministry at Christ the King Spiritual Life Center in Greenwich, New York, and founder of By His Wounds Ministry in Virginia, will share his powerful story which  includes a miraculous recovery in October 2009 from H1N1, pneumonia, and secondary pneumonia. A native of England and onetime Royal Marine, Fr. Nigel dedicated his life to the ministry of healing after his sister, a dancer with the Royal Ballet in London, was healed in 1989 of dystonia, a severe neurological condition, through the prayers of the late Canon Jim Glennon. Fr. Nigel will be speaking  in the Parish Hall on November 10th and then also speak November 11, in the Main Church at 6 p.m. See you there for this great testimony of what God has done, and continues to do for us all!

Chosen Marathon for Adoption


Location: Downtown Tampa, Tampa Florida

The Chosen Marathon for Adoption is an opportunity to run either a half or full marathon for the fatherless. Funds raised through race registration fees and donations go to families seeking to adopt, as well as orphan care projects around the world.

The race will start at the Tampa Bay Times Forum and will weave through the city on Bay Shore along the waterfront. It will be a beautiful race during a perfect time of year for running.
