Hope, Faith, & Generosity: An Event in Recogniton of National Donor Sabbath


Location: Trinity Wellsprings Church, Satellite Beach FL

Hope, Faith, and Generosity is an event in recognition of National Donor Sabbath. Come hear musical performances and inspirational stories from local donor families and transplant recipients. There will also be a screening of The Wish, a 45-minute short film about a beloved high school teacher who fights for her life while awaiting a much needed organ transplant. Refreshments will be provided. This event is free.

Love Never Fails Benefit Concert


Location: First Christian Church, Titusville Florida

The Gibbs Family along with Space Coast Quartet and Crossfire will be hosting a benefit concert to support the children of The Florida Baptist Children’s Home in Lakeland, FL. This is a free admission concert and a love offering will be taken. All proceeds will go to The Florida Baptist Children’s Home. We are also asking that if you have or want to donate any household items, school supplies, luggage, baby items, hygiene items or anything that a children’s home could possibly use, please bring at the time of the concert. Donations are the only way items are received and anything will be greatly appreciated.

Operation Christmas Child Collection Week (Nov.17-24)


Location: Eau Gallie First Baptist Church, Melbourne Florida

Operation Christmas Child’s National Collection Week:

“What goes in a Shoebox gift is fun, what comes out is eternal,” and that’s why there will be seven locations in Brevard and Indian River Counties that will be aiming to collect over 15,000 shoeboxes! Each shoebox is filled with small toys, needed school supplies and necessary hygiene items for needy kids overseas. The effort is part of  Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. This year, Operation Christmas Child hopes to collect enough shoeboxes to globally impact more than 10 million children this Christmas season. Anyone can participate! Just pack an empty shoebox with the items mentioned  (toys, school supplies,hygiene items) and take it to a drop-off off location during National Collection Week.

Centra Care physicians want to remind Central Floridians that the single best protection against the flu is the flu shot, even for healthy children and adults. And since the flu virus changes every year, you need a new vaccination each year. We hope to see you there!

Brevard's Tackle for Change


Location: Merritt Island High School, Merritt Island FL

Sundance Ranch Christian Counseling Center is hosting a football extravaganza as Merritt Island High School football players take on the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office to increase awareness for anti-bullying and suicide prevention. The event takes place on at 7:00 p.m. at Merritt Island High School with tickets costing $3 for students and $6 for adults. Come out and join us for a family friendly night of entertainment, music, food, and fun!

  • Note: National Anti-Bullying Week is Nov. 17 through Nov. 23. Teenage bullying victims are 93% more likely to commit suicide. In 2014 currently suicide is ranked as the #2 leading cause of death in Florida for ages 10-24 years old. According to the Florida Suicide Prevention Coalition in 2013 a total of 2, 892 people died of suicide in Florida alone. That is almost 8 people per day whose deaths could have been 100% preventable!
