Blues & BBQ Event Looks to Build on First Year’s Success
Rolling back into Winter Garden is the second annual Blues and BBQ event which drew a surprising 3,000 people in its’ inaugural year in 2012. This year’s event is anticipated to draw another sizable crowd to enjoy the award winning barbecue and some of the area’s hottest blues bands. Entertainment includes Swingin’ Harpoon at 4 p.m., Approaching Storm at 6 p.m., and Nightly Blues at 8 p.m.
This rain or shine event will take place on March 9th from 4 pm to 10 p.m. at the downtown farmer’s market pavilion at 230 S. Lakeview Ave. in Winter Garden. Admission is free and BBQ will be available for purchase. Event proceeds will benefit the City of Winter Garden Relay for Life Team and the American Cancer Society. Event patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, however no coolers or pets will be permitted.
