Date(s) - 6 Sep 2013
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Lyonia Environmental Center
The Florida Department of Health in Volusia County will present a workshop on septic tank system care from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, September 6 at the Lyonia Environmental Center located at Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Avenue.
Environmental Specialist Albert Royster with the Florida Department of Health in Volusia County will offer maintenance tips and share information on how to care for septic systems. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions. During heavy rains and floods, the ground can become saturated, preventing proper operation of the system. For example, a septic tank can collapse or float out of position. This workshop is to help prevent disasters. Royster will address the importance of having septic tanks serviced on a regular basis.
