Living Healthy Workshops – Break Through the Barriers to Living Healthy

Each Wed. for 6 workshops you’re invited to join the LIVING HEALTHY PROGRAM to break through the barriers to living healthy! These complimentary “Self-Management Tools 4 Life” workshops will help participants discover new skills for managing chronic conditions such as COPD, arthritis, hypertension, heart & other pulmonary disease or chronic disorders.
The highly participative workshops will help attendees develop coping strategies, behavior modifications & the confidence & skills needed in the day-to-day better management of their overall health, chronic condition/s & medications; with the goal of maintaining active & fulfilling lives. Participants must plan on attending all six sessions.
The curriculum, developed by the Stanford Univ. Patient Education Research Center’s School of Medicine is offered through the Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida and hosted & co-led by FREEDOM & CYSTIC FIBROSIS PHARMACIES. These Chronic Disease Self-Management Programs are currently offered (FREE each Wed. from 1:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m.): May 31- July 5 then Oct. 4 – Nov. 8 (one program per year, per student).
