It is vital that anyone who is allergic to chicken eggs, has had an allergic reaction to the flu shot in the past, or has a history of Guillain-Barre syndrome; consult with their doctor before getting a flu shot. Additionally, you should not get a flu shot if you are running a fever. Influenza vaccine is not approved for use in children less than 6 months of age.
