Pastor Appreciation Month Specific Material Terms

  1. How to Enter or Participate

    Listen for the midday announcer to announce the Pastor Appreciation Month contest on Z88.3. The right number caller, as called for by the announcer that has a church and pastor to talk about is the winner.

  2. Eligibility Restrictions

    You must be a resident of the state of Florida, 18 or older and attend a church in Central Florida to enter.

  3. Entry Deadline Dates

    The contest is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, 2009 and is scheduled to end on Friday, October 30, 2009. It is scheduled to run approximately once per weekday between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The contest ends when we have announced the Pastor Appreciation Month contest and received the specific phone caller number asked for during the announcement.

  4. Whether prizes can be Won

    Yes.

  5. When Prizes can be Won

    An on-air announcement will be made calling for the right number caller to talk about their church and pastor for the Pastor Appreciation Month contest. The right number caller means the number caller asked for during the announcement, such as caller number 10, meaning the 10th call answered by Z88.3's on duty announcer or producer to the Z-studio lines at (407) 682-8888.

  6. The Extent, Nature, and Value of the Prizes

    The prize will be a CD copy of the announcement and a $25 American Express Gift Card (donated by Florida’s Blood Centers) for the pastor of the church that the winner called in to talk about. Approximate value of the prize is $25.00.

  7. The Basis for Valuation of the Prizes

    Retail value of prize awarded.

  8. Time and Means of Selection of Winners

    An on-air announcement will be made calling for the right number caller to talk about their church and pastor for the Pastor Appreciation Month contest. The right number caller means the number caller asked for during the announcement, such as caller number 10, meaning the 10th call answered by Z88.3's on duty announcer or producer to the Z-studio lines at (407) 682-8888. The contest is scheduled to begin on Monday, October 12, 2009 and is scheduled to end on Friday, October 30, 2009.   9. Tie-Breaking Procedures

    In the event that the caller fails to give complete and accurate information or the connection is lost (see below) before the call is terminated, the next complete and accurate caller will be chosen as the winner. Only one (1) winner per household will be allowed per 30 day period. In the event that a previous winner or household member of a winner is selected, their prize will be forfeited. Any other tie breaking procedures are at the discretion of Z88.3 Management.

  10. Additional Conditions / Restrictions

    Z88.3, prize donors and sponsors are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind; lost or unavailable phone connections; or incomplete, garbled or delayed transmissions whether caused by Z88.3, users, by any equipment or programming utilized in this contest, or by human error. Each winner will be instructed to pick up their prize with valid photo identification at the Z88.3 Office in Altamonte Springs, Florida. All scheduled dates and times are approximate and subject to change. Prizes are not transferable. Winner is responsible for all taxes, fees and parking associated with this prize. Winners and contest participants grants Z88.3 the right to use their name and likeness (including voice) for promotional purposes with no compensation. Z88.3 reserves the right to alter these material terms at any time for any reason.

Compliance Statement

The above contest and the posting of material terms is Z88.3’s goodfaith effort to comply with the statutory provision regarding contests as set forth at Section 508 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended (the “Act”) (47 U.S.C. §509).  Section 508(a) of the Act (47 U.S.C. §509(a)) and with the Commission’s (FCC) requirements governing the broadcast of licensee-conducted contests set forth in Section 73.1216 of the Commission’s rules, (47 C.F.R. §73.1216).  This rule requires that a licensee that broadcasts or advertises information about a contest that it conducts shall fully and accurately disclose the material terms of the contest, and shall conduct the contest substantially as announced or advertised.  No contest description shall be false, misleading or deceptive with respect to any material term.

For purposes of Section 73.1216, the term “contest” is defined as a scheme in which a prize is offered or awarded, based upon chance, diligence, knowledge or skill, to members of the public.  “Material terms” include those factors which define the operation of the contest and which affect participation therein.  Although the material terms may vary widely depending upon the exact nature of the contest, they will generally include:  (1) how to enter or participate;  (2) eligibility restrictions;  (3) entry deadline dates;  (4) whether prizes can be won;  (5) when prizes can be won;  (6) the extent, nature, and value of the prizes;  (7) the basis for valuation of prizes;  (8) time and means of selection of winners;  and/or (9) tie-breaking procedures.
