Life is not easy and bad things happen to all of us that cause our hearts to be wounded, including children. Unattended wounds of the heart can result in poor health, bad behavior, depression, violence, difficulty in school and many other negative symptoms. That’s why Northland Church is offering a five-day Healing Hearts Club Camp. This camp will give children (ages 8–13) an opportunity to learn about the wounds of their hearts…They will not only process ways of understanding their own hurt, but will learn about the healing process through stories, games, art and music with specially trained teachers and children their own age.  As they share their own stories, they make new friends in a safe, fun and welcoming environment while learning how God is the one who can heal the wounds of their hearts.

The Healing Hearts Club, designed by the American Bible Society, is a Bible Based program that gives an opportunity to change that trajectory. Children will learn how to work through their emotional and spiritual pain, through interactive, story-centered, activities. They will learn to take their pain to the cross, helping them to overcome anger, fear and loneliness, and experience God’s love for them.

For more about this camp or to register your child, please visit the Northland Church website!

CFCArts Presents Twelve Angry Jurors in Partnership with the Orange County History Center

Location: Orange County Regional History Center, Orlando FL

Twelve Angry Jurors will be performed at the Orange County History Center Court Room. Come be immersed in this captivating play.

It seemed to be an open and shut case; an 18-year old boy on trial for the stabbing and murder of his own father. Twelve Jurors are shoved in a hot, bleak room in mid-summer New York, and all assume to be in agreement until the votes rolled in: 11 – guilty, 1 – not guilty. Tempers get short as the clock ticks and the temperature rises. Can they all agree on one person’s fate?

The show runs from August 1 to August 11.
