Anti-Bullying and Self-Defense Seminar

Location: The Zen Life Center, Winter Springs Florida

The Zen Life Center Hosts a Anti-Bullying Seminar for Kids!
Media is invited to participate in this beneficial event

August 13th, 2019, Winter Springs, FL—School is back in session, but unfortunately, too many kids will start having to deal with bullies. Bullying does impact a child’s education and attendance in a negative way; To counteract this, the Zen Life Center, a local martial arts school in Winter Springs, will be hosting a free anti-bullying seminar for any local children.
It will be taught by the 2019 ISKA World Champion in Self-Defense, Master Richard Hoehn, also the co-owner of The Zen Life Center, the world’s first B Corp. certified Martial Arts School.
Master Hoehn will teach kids of all ages how to handle threatening situations verbally, strategically and physically, but only when necessary. He will also share with parent’s helpful information on what to do if they find their child being bullied. The public and media are invitedto participate in this seminar so that the community may benefit from what The Zen Life Center offers.

CFCArts Presents The New Works Chorale in Concert

Join the CFCArts New Works Chorale in their inaugural concert bringing new music and new arrangements by local Central Florida composers to life!

The inaugural season of the New Works Chorale will include some works from newer local composers like Jamey Ray, founding member of Voctave, Dr. David Brunner, Director of Choral Activities for UCF, and nationally known composer, Eric Whitacre, one of today’s most popular and frequently-performed composers. Jamey Ray is a well-known choral arranger and composer. His choral pieces have been featured as top sellers on JW Pepper, used in multiple All-State festivals, and can be heard in Walt Disney World’s EPCOT Center performed daily by the Voices of Liberty where he is also a group member. Dr. Brunner is acclaimed as one of today’s most active and versatile conductors and composers. His wide and varied expertise embraces all ages in professional, university, public school, community, church and children’s choruses. Eric Edward Whitacre is an American composer and conductor, and speaker, known for his choral, orchestral and wind ensemble music. In March 2016, he was appointed as Los Angeles Master Chorale‘s first artist-in-residence at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
