Virtual Foster Care Class


Location: The Comfort of your home, My Town USA
Are you interested in learning what it takes to become a foster caregiver and provide a safe & loving home for children in your community? Join in for this upcoming virtual class!
CLASS DETAILS:
Length: Every Saturday for 3 weeks
Class dates: Jan 23rd, 30th, & Feb 6th
Session 1: 10am-12pm
Lunch Break: 12pm-1pm
Session 2: 1pm-3pm
To register, you must complete the following steps:

2. Complete a short interview over the phone to determine eligibility for the program.

Altamonte Mall Carnival


Location: Altamonte Mall, Altamonte Springs FL

This family-friendly event Jan. 21-31 features midway rides and games for all ages and favorite fair food.

Carnival parking and admission are free.

Unlimited ride wristbands (for riders 36 inches and taller) are $30 on site, or online at Wristbands before 5 pm Thurs., Jan. 21 for $20 each, 2/$35 or 4/$60.

Ride tickets are also available at the carnival for $1.50 each, $30/20 tickets or $60/50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.)

Visit Altamonte Mall Carnival for coupon savings on rides and food.

Carnival hours:

  • 5-10 pm Monday-Thursday
  • 5-11 pm Friday
  • 1-11 pm Saturday
  • 1-10 pm Sunday

Please wear a mask, practice social distancing, and utilize the hand sanitizers and hand-washing stations located on the midway.

The Orlando Concert Band ONLINE Concert


Location: St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Oviedo Florida

Central Florida is home to a rich Latino population. The Orlando Concert Band is presenting “Sonidos Latinos”–Latin Sounds for the St. Luke’s Concert Series, January 23, at 7PM, online only. Sonidos Latinos samples the vibrant, dance-inducing rhythms and melodies from the music of Cuba, Mexico, and Spain.
