Single & Parenting Support Group


Location: St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Orlando Florida

Are you a single parent feeling overwhelmed by the many different hats you wear? Register to attend St. Luke’s Single & Parenting support group offering practical strategies and hope for the future for all single parents: divorced, separated, widowed, and never been married. Weekly meetings start Wednesday, August 22 at 7:00 p.m. in Building C Room 201/203 and run through November 28. Come for family dinner beforehand in the Building C Welcome Hall. The UCF Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Chung Park, and featuring guest pianist, Lori Sims, performs Beethoven’s “Emperor Concerto.” This family-friendly program is presented by  St. Luke’s Concert Series,  which is celebrating 25 years of offering a full season of concerts from September through April, with free admission and parking, as its gift to the community.

Attending the dress rehearsal may be a good choice for those wishing to avoid concert crowds… more seating and parking space! It’s a unique opportunity to learn how important the conductor’s role is in refining a concert program.

A full program featuring the music of Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and more!

Nader-Mara's Doo Wop and Soul

Nader-Mara Entertainment is proud to present Doo Wop and Soul, featuring Tommy Mara and The Crests and Charlie Ingui of The Soul Survivors, in a RARE Florida appearance. The Soul Survivor’s “Expressway To Your Heart” became the anthem to The Sound of Philadelphia and ranks on Billboards Top 100 R&B Songs of all time. In addition to Expressway, there would be three other chart appearances, Explosion In My Soul, Mission Impossible (Impossible Mission), and City of Brotherly Love. Back to the WDPAC by very popular demand, The Crests featuring Tommy Mara’s songs include Sixteen Candles, The Angels Listened In, Trouble In Paradise and Step by Step. Johnny Maestro dubbed Tommy Mara the Pavoratti of Doo Wop right before giving him his blessing to carry on The Crests music. This will be an evening of music and memories that you do not want to miss!
