Other Details:
The Awana Grand Prix at this location is open for racers of that elementary age. It is recommended to register in advance.
The Races are done by Age bracket referred to as Sparks and T&T.
Preschoolers (cubbies) do have a FREE cheering section, and you are encouraged to have your child come.
There will be a cheering section open for Adults and teens.
Special Guest Emcee and Grand Marshall: Jim DeBerry

This event is FREE to attend or visit and open to the public; this event is open to the public to RACE based on race criteria. The racer will need to meet simple basic requirements that you can get by contacting our local Awana Leader.
 A Pinewood car can cost anywhere from $5-10 for the basic kit. Please see links provided on website above for more information about the cars.
Those not members of Awana Clubs are welcome to visit the Race and us.
Your car must meet Awana standards; an example would be the type of race wheels, height, weight, etc. Please check with the Awana Group Leader for more details.

Foster Care Info Night

Location: Heartland for Children, Bartow Florida

Foster Care Info Nights are typically held on the first Thursday evening of each month as a free session for anyone to come, listen, and learn about what it takes to be a Foster Parent. The floor is open for questions and concerns to be addressed as well.  If you’d like to attend the next meeting, call 863-519-8900 x289 to register. This just lets Heartland for Children know how many to expect.

RUN FOR the KIDS 5k (Windermere High School)

Location: Independence Clock Tower, Winter Garden Florida

Please come join the “Run For The Kids” 5k on March 1st, 2018! This event is fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, specifically Windermere High School’s Dance Marathon which donates to Arnold Palmer and Winnie Palmer. ALL money is for the kids!

This 5k is hosted in the Winter Garden community of Independence in Central Florida on March 1st, 2018 at 6 pm.

The course will be lit up, but runners are encouraged to wear reflective clothing.

This 5k is open to everyone of any running level. Strollers and pets welcome.

The finish line will have food trucks and fun!

Join the UF-IFAS Extension Service Orange County Master Gardeners and the FLORIDA URBAN FOREST COUNCIL for a fun and educational day for the entire family.
