Just like so many you, the impacts of this pandemic has been wide-reaching. Events were put on hold, goodbyes were said early and as an organization, St Peter’s Episcopal Church was forced to take a step back. Though it was difficult to transition, they still have the same goal of creating as many moments of joy for every family they can.

So what’s the plan?
To have the most fun possible this Halloween with a virtual Costume run! All donations will go towards their children’s programs in the Lake Mary Sanford Area. During this time, it is more important than ever to create moments for all of us to come together. How amazing would it be for the community to recognize the need to support children’s programming and to see silly costumes all throughout Central Florida? This Halloween may look different for a lot of people, but there is no reason we cannot spin it into a positive.

Who can participate: Anyone who is willing to be a little silly for a good cause and it’s FREE 🙂

How to Participate: On October 31st go for a run! They suggest a 5k, but all distances are welcomed. Just remember the most important thing…..WEAR A COSTUME!!! Then make sure you post on social media with the #CCCRun
( Children’s Community Costume Run) on Instagram and Facebook. On November 1st they will post our top 10 costumes/posts. They will contact winners through our social media with prizes.

Will it be silly? Yes. Will people stare? Most likely. Will you laugh? Absolutely.
But think of the memories of going for a run with people you care about in your favorite costume this Halloween.

Participation is free, but donations help continue to create moments like this.
