HEATHER LAYNE PERFORMING LIVE AT FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF CLERMONT – JANUARY 30TH

Clermont…The First United Methodist Church (FUMC) of Clermont invites you for an amazing night and special concert by Heather Layne on January 30th at 7pm.  Heather is a Singer/Songwriter and Nashville Recording Artist… seen and heard over television and Christian and Country Music Radio, across the U.S. and overseas. With a heart for the broken, her soul-stirring voice, music, and story continue to reach people from all walks of life. “When my life hit bottom nearly 17 years ago, I felt lost, confused, and wondered why I was even breathing. I was suffering from scars and buried pain of severe abuse I endured earlier in my life. As I worked the 12 steps of recovery, God worked in my heart, and my life started to untangle. I realized God wasn’t mad at me, and He had a plan for my life.”

Celebrate Recovery at FUMC is honored to host the concert and invites the community to join us!  Come early for dinner at 5:30pm in the Social Hall.  First United Methodist Church of Clermont is located at 950 7th Street, Clermont, FL  34711 (corner of Highway 50 & Seventh Street, in downtown Clermont).

Celebrate Recovery is for ANYONE of ANY AGE to attend. Hundreds of people of all ages are celebrating healing from hurts, habits and hang-ups!  Are you asking yourself why you would attend Celebrate Recovery if you aren’t an addict?  Celebrate Recovery is for any kind of struggle in our lives.  Less than 1/3 of the people who attend Celebrate Recovery struggle with substance abuse; the rest come for anger, marriage struggles, adult children on drugs, overeating, grief/divorce, depression/stress, you name it!  We even have a group for war veterans.  Many come because someone in the family is struggling.  If a family member is struggling, it is most likely affecting others in the family.   There are now 35,000 Celebrate Recovery churches around the world, and that number continues to grow.  We are part of a movement that is bringing the healing power of Jesus Christ to the hurting and broken through step studies and journeys.  To date, over 5 million people worldwide have completed a step study.

Celebrate Recovery meets every Thursday, starting with dinner at 5:30pm, large group worship at 7pm, small confidential, gender-specific groups at 8pm, and coffee & snacks at 9pm.  Middle and high school students are welcome to come to “The Landing,” and younger children can attend “Celebration Place.” For more information on Celebrate Recovery, visit our website at www.fumc-clermont.org/events, call our church office at 352-394-2412, or come to church on Thursday.  There is free childcare available for newborns to 5th graders in the Education Building.
