Laughter Is The Best Medicine! (British Improv Comedy for a Cause)
Cambridge University has produced many of the great intellects, scientists, philosophers, and authors of each generation: think John Milton, Charles Darwin, Stephen Hawking, David Attenborough. Some have also gone on to be famous actors, directors, and comedians. The Cambridge Impronauts are one of England’s oldest and most renowned improvised comedy troupes – and they are making their North American debut with a summer charity tour throughout Florida to raise money for U.S. charities that fight cancer, M.S., and help children of addicted parents. “Laughter Is The Best Medicine” is the tour theme, but that is the only part of the performance that is determined ahead of time. From audience suggestions, and each other’s creative impulses, the Impronauts weave entire story lines and create hilarious characters, antics, and situations on the spot. You will be leaving the theater still laughing and asking, “How did they do that?”
LET THE CAMBRIDGE IMPRONAUTS RESTORE YOUR HOPE FOR THE FUTURE – OR AT LEAST GIVE YOU A GOOD LAUGH ABOUT YOUR PRESENT – ALL WHILE RAISING FUNDS TO FIGHT SOME OF THE MOST DEVASTATING HEALTH CHALLENGES WE FACE.
All proceeds from this tour will go directly to our benefiting charities which include: National Association for Children of Addiction, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Susan G. Komen. Shows are clean and family-friendly. This is an evening that the entire family will enjoy!
