Stand Up & Pray for Kids Rally
Date(s) - 26 Sep 2020
5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
Children are being sexually abused & trafficked every day. And while this does happen in foreign countries, it’s also happening RIGHT HERE in our local community. Some children are even victimized in their own homes. This is NOT OKAY & it’s time to take a stand. We believe that shining light onto this dark issue is the only way to make it stop.
Meet at the First United Methodist Church (located at 950 7th Street Clermont). There will be a donation drive to stock Warehouse Foster Closet, a ministry that helps local foster children. They are collecting non-perishable snacks, peanut butter, jelly, any size diapers & any size Pull-Ups. Drop off your donations at the church on the day of the rally from 4:30 PM- 5:30 PM.
Then it will be time to embark on a prayer walk to the Clermont City Hall for a powerful evening of speakers, testimonies from abuse survivors & of course prayer.
Please make signs to bring with you to march. ***NO PROFANITY OR VIOLENT LANGUAGE***.
Wear any shade of the color blue as it represents child abuse & trafficking awareness.
This is FAMILY-FRIENDLY, so all ages are encouraged to come. Bring your kids in the stroller, if you know it’ll be too long of a walk for little legs.
Out of respect for trauma victims, masks will NOT be required. However, your safety is important to us. If wearing a mask & physical distancing makes you comfortable, please feel free to do so! Everyone is excited to stand alongside you to pray & rally together for the protection of our children!
