September is already more than half way over and we’re pretty sure Hurricane Irma took up most of the conversation this month. Storms have a strange way of bringing neighbors together. It has been nice to see everyone sharing generators, water, supplies and just helping each other these past few weeks. We loved seeing kids playing outside together when power wasn’t an option.

It’s been fun seeing our community come together, so let’s keep it going!  Your Z has teamed up with our friends from New Missions to host our first ever block party, Florida style….which means we will be inside and there will be air conditioning! 🙂

Your friends Ellis and Tyler from Z88.3 Mornings will be hosting our first ever Good Neighbor Day Block Party on Thursday, September 28, which just happens to be on Good Neighbor Day! Come join your  Z for a free night of fun…we’ll play giant Jenga, giant Connect 4 and corn hole together before enjoying a free concert with Z artist JJ Weeks Band and comedy with Laugh All Night Comedian, David Dean. We’ll also hear from our friend Tim DeTellis, leader of New Missions and also founder of Gathering City. He has spent most of his life on mission to Haiti, and he realized, he didn’t even know his own neighbors here locally. His mission is to bring neighbors together…it got us thinking, how many of our neighbors do we really know?
