- Due to Hurricane Irma, OCPS Food & Nutrition Services will serve food to children 18 and under. Thursday, September 14 at the following locations:
- East River High: 10am – Noon
- Lovell Elementary: 10am – Noon
- Robinswood Middle: 10am – Noon
- Lancaster Elementary: 11am – 1pm
- Ivey Lane Elementary: 1 – 3pm
- Wolf Lake Elementary: 1 – 3pm
- Osceola Schools will be providing lunches at no cost to all children under the age of 18 on Thursday, 9/14, and Friday, 9/15, at the following locations (Children must be present to receive a lunch.):

- Dave Ramsey will speaking at Calvary Chapel Melbourne this weekend on Saturday at 6pm and Sunday at 8:30am – 10:45am. Dave will be talking about personal finance. - Northland: Join us for this special Hurricane Irma Serve Day! • Saturday, September 16th
• 8am – 1pm – meet at the Longwood worship center at 8am for shirts and team assignments
• All projects will be outside – including debris removal, trapping roofs etc. (wear a hat, closed toe shoes, bring sunscreen and water)
• Wear your Blue Serve shirt or pick one up day of
• Lunch provided to volunteers serving
• Children are welcome with parental supervision
• Bring your own work gloves and if you have more, bring a pair for a friend!
• Some tools will be provided but please bring additional supplies you have from the list below.
• Supplies needed: rakes, brooms, shovels, mops, rags, five-gallon buckets, large heavy duty garbage bags, work gloves, cleaning supplies, small tools, tarps, masks, rags, water, paper towels, toilet paper, bug spray.

- IKEA is offering a post-Hurricane Irma discount to help customers recover from the storm to get their homes back to normal. They are extending their employee discount of 15 percent at stores in Sunrise, Miami, Orlando and Tampa. The offer is only good for purchases in stores, not online, according to the retailer.
- Sam’s Club has reopened all club locations in the Orlando area and is temporarily waiving its membership requirements for the communities affected by Hurricane Irma.
- Aldi: A number of Central Florida locations reopened Tuesday, but several in Volusia and Brevard counties remain closed.
- Publix: Publix announced all but two of its locations in Central Florida reopened for regular business hours Wednesday. The two locations that remain at “TBD” status are located in Eustis Village and Sorrento Hills Village in Lake County.
- Wireless Companies: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile will not be charging its customers in Hurricane Irma’s path for calls, texts and other data. AT&T through September 17. Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile through September 15.
- Florida Hospital eCare: Florida Hospital will continue to make its eCare Urgent Care service free statewide through Friday. eCare is an urgent care video service, providing face-to-face care over your mobile device with Centra Care doctors or nurse practitioners. To do it, download the eCare Urgent Care app from the Apple app story or Google play, and set up a personal or family account.
