Office Manager / HR Manager
Cynthia was born and raised in Cumberland, Maryland, in the mountains of Western Maryland. Most of her family is still in that area, but she left home to attend college in Bluefield, Virginia for two years and never returned to Maryland to live. After traveling around the country for several years (just 9 more states to visit to see them all!) and living in Lafayette, Louisiana for a year, Orlando became home. She still REALLY misses Fall in the mountains and the change of seasons though.
Cynthia experienced God’s call to full-time ministry at the age of 16 and is blessed to have served in ministry most of her adult life. She started as the Office Manager/HR Manager at the Z on December 4, 2017, after serving almost 17 years as the church administrator in a local church. She is grateful for the doors God opened that brought her here!
She has a bachelor degree in Public Administration from UCF – go Knights! She and her husband Bill have 7 now-adult children between them, including her 4 – sons Jordan (who was, unexpectedly to his family, welcomed into God’s arms in 2004 at the age of 21) and Travis, daughters Austin and Shannon; Bill’s 3 – daughter Ann Elizabeth, sons Trey and Austin; plus two daughters through marriage, Brooke (Travis’ wife) and Kelly (Trey’s wife). And yes, they each have an Austin! Cynthia has a variety of interests, but she most enjoys dinners with all the family together, cooking, traveling, reading, college football, and spending time with her family and friends.
