Z88.3 FM: Moves You

Veterans Day 2017

We are grateful for the hard work and sacrifice of our veterans. My daddy served in the US Navy for many years, and my heart will always have a special place for those who are and have served.

With Veterans Day coming up this Saturday, November 11, there are many special celebrations happening around Central Florida. We are very excited about one special event happening at The First Academy this Wednesday, November 8. There’s something special about our kids coming together to honor our heroes. You’ll find more about that in the event list below along with other special Veteran’s Day Celebrations that we found posted on our Z Community Calendar.

We’re also looking forward to hearing your stories this Friday as we spend the morning honoring our heroes. Ellis and I would love for you to share about your favorite veteran on the radio. Call us this Friday morning between 6 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in the studio at 407.682.8888.

If your family is currently serving, thank you. Your Z is grateful for your sacrifice and we think about you and pray for you each and every day.

Veterans Day Service

Location: St. Luke\’s United Methodist Church, Orlando FL

Join St. Luke’s for their Veterans Day Service on Sunday, November 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This service is an opportunity for St. Lukers to honor, celebrate, and remember those who have served our country in the armed forces. This will be a time of reflection, testimony, and prayer.

During the service, a special offering will be collected to benefit Soldiers’ Angels, a national organization with a chapter in Orlando whose mission is to provide aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families. Because the focus of Soldiers’ Angels is the soldiers and their families, they are uniquely positioned to address the unique and complex needs of veterans. St. Luke’s was connected with this organization through a veteran who is a St. Luker, and our Military Ministry leaders. 100% of your special offering this evening will support Soldiers’ Angels.
