You might be asking, what is a Pop Up Prom Dress Shop.  We have collected over 400 new and slightly used PROM dresses 👗 that we want to get into the hands of young ladies in Central Florida.  Just this week we received 30 brand new dresses from the So Sweet Boutique in the Oviedo Mall.  We don’t want the cost of the dress to keep girls from going to prom and feeling like a princess. We want them making memories that will last a lifetime.  We set up the Church auditorium like a boutique.  Each girl is escorted by their own personal shopper.  We set up the classrooms as private fitting rooms.  We want the girls that shop with us to feel special.  Each young lady can purchase one prom dress for a $20 donation to Kaliegh’s Dream Foundation.  This will be our 4th year hosting this event. We started this event to honor our daughter Kaliegh Ottis, a 2012 graduate of Lake Mary HS.  She SPARKLED at her Prom, and we want to help as many girls as possible to SPARKLE at their Prom.

Kaliegh’s Dream Foundation was established in 2013 to honor Kaliegh Ottis and establish her legacy.  Her life and her dreams were just starting to be realized.  It is the goal of the Foundation to help make the dreams of young women and men come to fruition by providing scholarships to help them reach their goal of earning a college degree.  Kaliegh had a “SPARKLE” about her.  One of her favorite sayings was, “Don’t Let Anyone Ever Dull Your Sparkle”.  We try to look for that “SPARKLE” in each scholarship recipient.  Currently we provide annual scholarships to cheerleaders at Lake Mary High School and we started an endowment with the ADPi Foundation that provides scholarships to the young ladies of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at the University of Central Florida and in 2023 in a partnership with the UCF Foundation we started another endowment for the UCF Cheer Team.  We also support and volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of Central Florida, a cause that was very close to Kaliegh’s heart.  As the Foundation grows we hope to expand our scholarship and grant footprint to many more.

Since 2013 we have raised just over $400,000 and provided grants/scholarships to over 150 students and organizations.  Hopefully we are helping them keep their DREAMS alive.

Kaliegh’s Dream Foundation was created in 2013 to honor our 19 year-old daughter, sister, grand-daughter, cousin and friend that died in a tragic car accident.  Kaliegh Ottis was a 2012 graduate of Lake Mary HS near Orlando, Florida and had just completed her freshman year at the University of Central Florida.  She was a proud member of the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority at UCF.  The Foundation is recognized as a non-profit public charity 501(c)(3) by the IRS.
