Run With Hope 5k


Location: Church at Viera, Melbourne florida

Come and join Church at Viera for Community of Hope’s 2nd Annual Run With Hope 5k.  Runners, walker, strollers and families welcome.  There will be a raffle, bounce house, music, kids activities and more all supporting a local non-profit Community of Hope.

Community of Hope aims to build hope and healthy families through a helping hand program of structured housing. Allowing families with children to remain together in a safe and decent living environment so  they may grow strong, become self-reliant, transform their lives, and crush the cycle of homelessness and poverty.

Your swing counts at CASA’s 2nd Annual Swing for Survivor’s golf outing being held October 20th at Citrus Hills.  Presented by Florida Public Utilities, this fun event hosts a hole in one sponsored by Love Chevrolet, raffles, auctions and lots of prizes. The 19th annual Florida Wildlife Festival, promoting safe coexistence with the Florida black bear and all native wildlife species is scheduled for Saturday, October 20, 2018 in beautiful Cadwell Park! The Partners of the festival include the City of Umatilla, Umatilla Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Forest Service, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Defenders of Wildlife, Florida Black Bear Scenic Byway and Lake County. The Partners intend to increase awareness and promote safe coexistence of humans and wildlife by fostering community appreciation of the Florida black bear and other native Florida species, as well as, Florida’s unique ecosystems that serve as wildlife habitat. The FREE family oriented festival includes educational presentations, free field trips, arts and crafts, children’s activities and much more! This Youth Ministries-sponsored fundraiser is located on the St. Luke’s Campus in the picnic area behind Building C.

The Patch features a variety of pumpkins, from classic carving pumpkins and miniature pumpkins to a diverse range of winter squashes and gourds. The Patch is the perfect place to find a pumpkin for the holiday season and the ideal backdrop for your seasonal family photo. Visiting the Patch is a sure way to get you and your family in the mood for fall!

The Pumpkin Patch will be open:

Mondays-Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

(On Sunday, October 21, the Patch will close at 6:00 p.m.).

Prices will range from $1.00 to $30.00 depending on your choice of pumpkin, and all proceeds go to support St. Luke’s Youth Ministries.
