Opening January 26, 2013, and running through January 26, 2014, the exhibition will change with each Universal Orlando Resort event season and the holidays – focusing on The Macy’s Holiday Parade and performances by Holiday Music Sensation Mannheim Steamroller. Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand ExhibitLocation: Brevard Zoo, Melbourne FL Wild Florida: Past, Present and Future, an Art of Sand exhibit, opens President’s Day weekend and remains open through Memorial Day. Guests to Brevard Zoo can take their walk on the wild side to new depths of art and history as they traverse a 1/4-mile trail taking in 13 incredible sand sculptures carved into the native landscape of Brevard Zoo. Created by eight international sand sculptors, this exhibit shares the Florida story – tracing the history of wildlife and humans on our peninsula. Hear the sounds of a time gone by as you view these breathtaking artistic and historical sculptures – just in time to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Ponce de Leon’s first exploration of North America. This exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. February 16 through May 27. It has a separate admission price (in addition to Zoo admission) of $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $2 for children ages 2 to 12. Children under 2 are free. She will be speaking to the Caregiver’s Group for The Healing Ministry at All Saints Church. Bio: Amaryllis Sánchez Wohlever, MD is the wife of a pilot-turned-preacher and the happy mom of three terrific children. Her life was transformed years ago through a heartfelt prayer. AwakeningLocation: UCF Pegasus Ballroom, Orlando FL It’s time to make some noise for the 27 million enslaved around the world! Join UCF’s Baptist Collegiate Ministries in welcoming RISE Worship and Operation 1:27 to UCF to fight human trafficking. Both of these groups are locally founded by central Florida college students. Orlando – are you in it to end it? #AwakeningUCF We will meet in the Pegasus Ballroom, in the Student Union at the center of UCF’s main campus. Beginning at 6:00 p.m., Operation 1:27 will host live music and an art show, while taking donations to fight human trafficking with The Florida Abolitionist Coalition and IJM. For more information about the art donations and this part of the event, check out Operation 1:27. Then at 7:30, join RISE Worship in awakening this generation to these injustices.
