2015 Central Florida 5K Color Run/Walk

Location: Bill Fredrick Park at Turkey Lake, Orlando, FL 32835 FL 32835

The Central Florida 5K Color Run is a 5 kilometer fun run like no other that proudly endorses being active, family, friendship and fun. It’s not about who can run to the finish line the fastest, in fact, you don’t even need to run. You can jog, walk, hop, skip, or even dance your way through the course.

Each kilometer of the event is associated with a designated color. 1k is Yellow, 2k is Orange, 3k is Blue, 4k is Pink, and the finish line at 5k is your entrance into the Color Run Finish Festival!

As the runners/walkers hit the KILOMETER COLOR ZONE, they will be blitzed by our volunteers, sponsors, and staff with COLOR. We transform runners by launching barrages of colored cornstarch. All products are 100% natural and safe. Start the race wearing white and finish looking like you ran through a rainbow!

Charity Highlight
We’re pleased to be partnering with the StudyHall101.com – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that provides live online tutoring and supplemental educational programs for at risk students grades K-12. Their model was created by national board certified teachers, school administrators, and educational advocates to assist students in closing achievement gaps.

We love chucking paint and making people smile, but we also think it is important to give back. We are excited we have the opportunity to partner with StudyHall101.com and help shine a light on their extraordinary work within society.

Please visit our event website for more information and to register.

BBQ Benefit Bash for Christine Coble

Location: Shuttles Restaurant and Bar, Merritt Island FL - Florida

Christine Coble is currently on the Fl. State kidney transplant list and is having to do dialysis 9.5 hours a night! In spite of everything Christine still manages to work her two jobs, to make ends meet. A veteran Brevard County school teacher for 12 years, she’s currently teaching 3rd grade at Imperial Estates Elementary. Christine has insurance but it is limited and will not cover her medication needed after the transplant surgery. The anti-rejection medication alone will be almost $400 a month; pair that with recovery time and loss of incomes and it’s clear Christine will need some help financially. So we have decided to throw her a fundraising event and You are invited to attend and help support our goal! For more information visit our Fighting The Silence face book page.

*Officer Derek Briscoe, 32, of Sanford, FL suddenly passed away on June 24th, 2015 leaving behind his wife Amy, son Logan (10), and daughter Olivia (5). Derek served in the US Army for 8 years as a sergeant with the 727th Military Police Detachment. As a 6-year Officer for the Orlando Police Department, Derek was beloved not only by his fellow Officers, but the entire community as a whole. Derek dreamed for his children to exceed in their education and to strive for the best in higher education. As an Army veteran and Officer of the Orlando Policy Department, Derek selflessly sacrificed on a daily basis. Our dream is to continue upon his dream and to remember “Heroes Live Forever”.

All proceeds go towards the education of Derek’s children, Logan and Olivia.
