Seminole Homeless Connection

Location: Community United Methodist Church, Casselberry FL

This event is free and is held each year by different organizations. This year New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. will be hosting Seminole County Homeless Connection at Community United Methodist Church, located at 4921 U.S. Highway 17-92 Casselberry, Fl 32707. The purpose of this one-day event is to embrace Seminole County less fortunate homeless individuals and families and provide them with opportunities for medical and dental services, employment assistance, food stamps and Medicaid eligibility. Housing and a variety of other services that we usually take for granted. Giveaways of basic necessities include items such as toiletries and personal hygiene items. A hot meal, snacks, day care and free transportation to the site may be provided throughout the day.

Seminole Homeless Connection evolved from the theme of Project Homeless Connect, which calls for efforts by the entire community, including government, faith based, private and nonprofit organizations and local businesses, to partner and find solutions to end homelessness.

“Every time some makes a donation to New Directions Community Outreach, Inc, they give someone hope. NDCO gives a person the opportunity to make a change, while knowing their gift is going directly to provide services for the homeless”  Debra Thomas, PhD-CEO-Founder.

Seminole Homeless Connection goal is to help the than 1000 people who are homeless in Seminole County. This is our community’s way of engaging people with the issues of homelessness. When you sponsor this event you are making a difference in someone’s life.
