“Music Video Stars” Summer Camp

Music Video Stars – In this exciting camp, learn how to perform in a music video as a back-up dancer and as the main star! You will learn performance technique and how to work the stage and camera. Styling techniques will be taught along with tips for hair, make-up, and wardrobe. Your best angles for the camera will be discovered. The week ends with a cool video shoot starring Music Video Stars campers!

All material is carefully selected and designed to accommodate each age appropriately and effectively.

If you wish to purchase a copy of the video, there is an additional $25 fee. Videos will be distributed digitally, no hard copies  – purchase is optional*

Central Brevard Art Association Summer Art Program

Location: Central Brevard Art Assocation Studio, Rockledge FL

The Central Brevard Art Association is offering its 5th Summer Art Program June 5 – 30th consisting of 2, 2 week sessions at the Central Brevard Art Association Studio. The cost is $150 per child for each 2 week session. Morning Sessions (9-Noon, Monday thru Friday), for children ages 6-10 will be taught by Dr. Clare Putnam and Jackie Bishop, BM.Ed. Afternoon Sessions (12:30-3:30, Monday thru Friday), ages 11-14 will be taught by Peggy Nolan, Ed. S.  Both instructors are art teachers with elementary and secondary school and summer program experience.

 The two-week sessions will cover mixed media opportunities. Classes will include instruction covering the elements of art and the principles of design and examples from the master painters. All students can expect 2-D and 3-D experiences such as easel painting, printmaking, painting, clay, origami, recycled sculptures, metal tooling + MORE. All supplies will be provided.  Students are to bring a snack and drink if desired. The Fridays ending each two-week session will be shortened to enable a Fantastic Student Show for each group.  Enrollment will be limited to 12 students per session. Registrations are due by Friday, April 29thClasses with less than six students will be cancelled and checks will be returned.

 MAN UP n’ Cook, Central Florida’s premier youth and family centric festival showcases positive male role models as servant leaders, where the food is the feature and mentors working alongside their mentees in the spirit of teamwork are the focus.

 This year event-goers can expect food vendors to offer signature items, as well as sample size portions allowing guests the opportunity to taste a variety of dishes. Some vendors will also include healthier choice selections for those seeking lighter options. Admission to MAN UP n’ Cook is FREE, attendees will have an opportunity to sample the food by purchasing a wristband for $10 on the day of the event or at Eventbrite.

Foodies indulged in more than 20 menu items last year, like Texas-style brisket, homemade macaroni n’ cheese, roasted corn salad and pistachio cake. Savory barbecue and an array of mouthwatering side dishes will be served this year, complemented by music and exciting activities for every age group.

“Success Row” was added in an effort to equip young people, as well as, their family members with tools to succeed. An area designated specifically to collegiate, military and vocational recruiters, and a wealth of community resources for parents and seniors too.
