Volunteer with Orlando Children’s Church - Free Dinner

Location: Orlando Children’s Church, Maitland FL

Your friend Suzanne from Z88.3 Afternoons with Suzanne and Deano recently met Erin. She’s a sweet girl with special needs, but more than that she’s a God’s Girl. Her parents don’t have a lot of money, but Erin at 15 gets on a bus to worship Jesus every Saturday morning at Orlando Children’s Church. To watch the buses that OCC provides for free, pull up with over 500 children from all around Central Florida with smiling faces to get a hot breakfast and worship together just made her melt. These kids are getting up early on their weekend to hop on a bus at their choice eager to worship! These kids don’t have a lot in life, most don’t even know where their next meal is coming from, but Orlando Children’s Church provides all of this for free with the help of volunteers.

If you have a heart for children like Suzanne, she invites you to join her for dinner on Thursday, May 14 to find out more about how you can help Orlando Children’s Church continue to provide worship services for kids. Will you join her?

If you’d like to join your friend Suzanne from Z88.3 Afternoons with Suzanne and Deano, please RSVP on the Orlando Children’s Church website.

Rockin' the Seventies

Location: Northland Church, Longwood FL

Get out your leisure suit, bell bottoms and platform shoes because Central Florida Community Arts proudly presents Rockin’ the Seventies, as performed by our CFCArts Community Choir and Symphony Orchestra.

The 1970s were filled with turbulence and new technology in the midst of a unique culture. These were the days of pet rocks, mood rings and water beds, when we could listen to 8-track tapes in our cars, instead of just AM radio. Disco was king, while electronic music and hip hop got their start in what is sometimes referred to as the “me” decade. Find your inner disco diva and join us as we perform a musical revue of the sights and sounds of the seventies, with songs from ABBA, Michael Jackson, the Bee Gees and more!

Rockin’ the Seventies will be held at Northland Church at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 and Friday, May 15. General Admission tickets are $10 each, Priority Seating tickets are $25 each and children age 3 and under will be admitted for free.

Here are some comments from church leaders who have endorsed the film:

“A Matter of Faith has a message that is highly relevant and desperately needed for America today. AIG doesn’t endorse many movies, even those that are supposedly “Christian” based. We are fully behind A Matter of Faith as it defends the authority of the Bible beginning in Genesis.”
–Ken Ham, Answers In Genesis

“A great movie. Heart-warming, educational, God-honoring, and timely.”
