2017 Mount Dora Police Department National Night Out

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, we are making that happen. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Neighborhoods across the nation host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and other various community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel and exhibits.

Walk with Compassion Orlando

Walk With Compassion is the walk to end child poverty. Leading up to the walk, Orlando is working together to raise life-changing funds benefiting children in the developing world suffering from extreme poverty. On November 4, 2017, we will come together at Blue Jacket Park to celebrate the difference our efforts have made. At the walk, participants will journey through a true story of hope and redemption, learning about the real-life obstacles children in poverty face everyday.
