Second Annual Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration

First Baptist Church of Apopka has started a 4th of July  annual tradition by putting together an annual Old-Fashioned 4th of July Celebration. This is a time where families can come and enjoy free food, music, water slides, games, presentations by local law enforcement, local fire department, and door prize drawings. It’s a day to come together as a community of this great nation and celebrate our God and our freedoms.

July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza

This Independence Day celebration includes activities for children such as games, bounce houses and an obstacle course; a performance by Then2Now; and fireworks at 9:15 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Parking is very limited at the Sports Complex but the city provides a free shuttle from City Hall, 2345 Providence Blvd., where there’s plenty of parking. Buses are available from 5:30 to 8:45 p.m. and then from 9:45 to 10:15 p.m.

4th Annual Independence Celebration [I'm FREE Part IV: The Curse Is BROKEN!]

FarMor Entertainment presents its 4th Annual Independence Celebration [“I’m Free Part IV: The Curse Is Broken”] on Saturday, July 6 at 6 p.m. in the Wekiva High School Auditorium (2501 N. Hiawassee Rd., Apopka, FL 32703).

This stage show is filled with dance, poetry and singing uniquely intertwined with a positive message. The lineup includes:

• International recording artist Abigail Hamilton
• Poets Natasha Daniels and Tremayne Moore
• The mime of David J. Stafford
• And the dance ministry of 14-year-old Jazmine Runyon, better known as “The Gifted One”

“Our goal is for each individual, regardless of age, race or nationality, to leave that auditorium with a renewed mind and a sense of hope to pursue their dreams and fulfill their destiny–despite their past mistakes or current circumstances,” says Suzette Farquharson-Morgan, president of FarMor Entertainment.

Baby Boogie Bash-Summer Luau

The Baby Boogie Bash (East Coast) is a dance party for kids 0-7 years old featuring disco lights and music from the 80′s, 90′s, and today. No Nursery Rhymes just real jams (appropriate of course) that will get your feet moving and booty grooving. We offer the Baby Boogie Bash at Amaya Papaya 7 times a year. Each event is themed to match a corresponding holiday throughout the year and then eclectically themed during our summer party series culminating with our annual Birthday Party!

A portion of the proceeds made from each month’s Baby Boogie Bash will go to benefit a local charity.
