Memorial Day Book Signing - Charity Event

AL M. SCOTT (pseudonym for Scott A. Meehan) will be pre-selling/signing his novel, “Love in the House of War,” on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 at the Chick fil-A on University and Rouse. Prizes will be given from drawings and a percentage of proceeds will go towards Krystin Goenner’s mission trip to Spain.

The novel is a military romantic suspense story about a Green Beret soldier rescuing an Afghan girl from the Taliban. The official release date is June 16, 2015 by Tate Publishing.

The Orange County Educational Social Work Association is hosting a walk to raise funds for students and families in need. The check in time is at 2:30 p.m. This walk is hosted by the OCESWA Social Workers, who help students and their families by providing brief financial assistance for items such as clothes, food and school supplies. You are welcome to donate any or all of these items or even money towards the walk.

RCA’s Summer Camp is for ages VPK (completed), Kindergarten – 5th grades. The program will run Monday-Friday’s, June 1 – August 14 from 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Various themes and activities include “Getting Here from There”, “Heading Down South”, “Water, Water, Everywhere”, “Rodeos, Barbecues & Boots”, and “Lights, Camera, Action.” There are water days every week, crafts, filed trips, special activities and more!

Cost: Registration $35.00, $130/week or $30/day. Includes Lunch and snacks. *Field trips are extra. (Off-site field trips for K-5th grade only.)
