The Relay for Life of Ormond Beach is Saturday, April 18 from noon to midnight in the parking lot of Calvary Christian Church. Come out and enjoy entertainment, food, activities, and walking with us! The whole community is invited! Relay for Life teams have been fundraising all season, and now come together to celebrate, remember and fight back!

2015 Spring Muscle Walk

Location: Lakeside Park, Celebration FL

Teams are already registering to take a small step to make a big difference for the Muscular Dystrophy Association during the Central Florida’s Spring Muscle Walk to help pay tribute to — and raise funds for — local children and adults served by MDA. The 2015 Spring Muscle Walk’s festival is scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lakeside Park in Celebration, FL.

Funds raised at the 2015 Spring Muscle Walk help support MDA’s global research program for muscular dystrophy and related diseases, including ALS (also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease). It also helps send children to a weeklong, barrier-free MDA summer camp at Camp Thunderbird in Apopka. FL and supports comprehensive health care services at 200 MDA clinics, including the MDA Clinic at Nemours Children Hospital in Orlando, FL.

Kaleb Kares Bowl-A-Thon and Raffle

Location: Brunswick Wekiva Lanes, Apopka FL

Kaleb Kares, Inc. d/b/a Viviana’s Memory Boxes is having their 4th annual Bowl-a-thon and Raffle. Please join us for a night of fun, while supporting a local charity. Kaleb Kares, Inc. reaches out to families after the loss of a pregnancy or newborn baby. Their project Viviana’s Memory Boxes has delivered over 2,000 boxes to hospitals all over the United States. Based out of Orlando, FL this is their only fundraiser, and brings in 95% of their funding. They are a registered nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization and 100% of the donations goes to their project (it is all volunteer based, no salaries are paid out).

Bowl-a-thon information: Bowling is $10/person and includes two games and shoe rental. We need six people per lane and recommend you register as a team to save $10. If you can’t get six people to complete a lane, no worries – we will assign you to a team!

The Asante Children's Choir Concert

Location: Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, Orlando FL

The Asante Children’s Choir is made up of children from East Africa, a region recovering from years of civil war and genocide that have claimed millions of lives leaving thousands of children and women as orphans and widows. The choir is dedicated to spreading love, hope and joy while raising awareness for the desperate plight of orphans and other vulnerable children. Their colorful clothing, pounding drums and sweet voices demonstrate their hope and dream for a brighter future. Their inspirational stories of resilience have instilled hope in the hearts of all those who have seen them perform.
