Join the American Board and learn more about how you can change careers and become a certified teacher in Florida. If you hold a Bachelor’s degree, you can have a classroom of your own within a year. Also, if you’re paraprofessional, substitute teacher or teaching on a Temporary/Emergency certificate and you’re looking to gain certification, find out how you can use the American Board program to obtain your professional license. RSVP at  Become a Teacher Herndon Library. Sessions are FREE and open to the public. Choose either session: 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm.

Attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet with a Florida Teacher Certification Specialist
  • Explore exam preparation materials
  • Enroll in the American Board program

2014 "Fully Committed" 2 Day Women's Retreat


Location: Lake Yale Baptist Conference Center, Leesburg Florida

Saturday evening Renee Swope, co-host of Proverbs 31 Ministries’ radio program and best-selling author of “A Confident Heart,” will be our keynote speaker and Francesca Battistelli will perform a special concert. There will also be a keynote speaker and a concert on Friday night as well. During the day Saturday there will be opportunity for group meetings, pertinent workshops, and special activities designed just for women!

The cost:
For the entire weekend (2 nights lodging, 6 delicious meals, and the program) is $200 per person.
For groups of 10 or more the cost is reduced to $175 per person.

The Seminole County Prayer Breakfast is a time when people from all parts of the community join together with community and church leaders for a time of reflection, encouragement and prayer and a commitment to the cause of the YMCA to help families and individuals in need. Guest speaker at this year’s event will be Dr. Patrick Morley. For three decades, Dr. Patrick Morley has been regarded as one of America’s most respected authorities on the unique challenges and opportunities men face. Since our inception in 2009, we have served 23,000 individuals, nationwide. We make access a reality for all of them. Because at the end of the day, it’s all about access.
