'I Can' Kids Camp

Location: Camp Sonshine, Brooksville Florida

Camp dates are June 5-8, 2015 and starts Friday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. and ends Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. Exclusively for special needs children/youth ages 5 to 18. Parent or guardian must accompany each camper. Weekend camp experience! Come have fun in a Christ filled environment. Camp includes lodging, food, activities, and most of all a fun filled weekend with your child! The cost is $100 includes camper and parent siblings are also permitted to attend for an additional charge.

Make 'M Smile

Location: Lake Eola, Downtown Orlando, Orlando FL

Join us at Make ‘m Smile, a community festival that celebrates kids with special needs (VIP kids) and their families! It features a Buddy Stroll where VIP families are “buddied up” with families from around the community for a stroll around Lake Eola. Your family will enjoy food, entertainment, prizes, and a chance to visit exhibitors that service the special needs community.

There is a small charge for wristbands (please see cost above) for all who wish to attend. The wristbands include access to everything (including food) offered at the festival. VIP kids and their immediate families are free.

Event wristbands are required for event participation, including entertainment, free food, drinks and goodies.  Each VIP will receive a FREE wristband for their immediate family (parents, care givers, siblings/brothers/sisters); additional wristbands can be purchased for your other family members (aunt, uncle, grandparents, cousins, etc.) and friends for a cost of $5 per wristband or a 5-pack for $20 at the event. Pre-Buy: Register online as Buddies in advance and get your wristbands for $3 a person!

The Justice Conference 2015

Location: Summit Church – Waterford Campus, Orlando FL

The vision of the JUSTICE CONFERENCE is to serve the discovery of ideas, celebrate the beauty of justice, and foster a community of people who live justice together. Now, more than ever, people of faith need to come together to wrestle with the injustice in our world. The JUSTICE CONFERENCE has emerged as a premier gathering for Christian leaders, justice practitioners, students, and learners from all over the world. We want to leverage the power of community and catalyze the work of justice globally, nationally, locally and personally. Local simulcast venues will participate in on June 6, 2015 (a One-Day Event). Over 20 Local Host Sites across North America will host the live simulcast from Chicago in addition to featuring dynamic local speakers.

Summit Church, a multi-site nondenominational church with campuses throughout Orlando, will act as one of the simulcast venues at the Summit Church Waterford Campus located in the Waterford Lakes area. Summit is committed to partnering with organizations that seek to uplift the oppressed and tackle injustice locally and globally!

Camp Kingdom Rock

Location: St. Peter Catholic Church, DeLand FL/Volusia

We are excited to offer a Christian camp with a schedule of events that is sure to keep kids engaged and active, as well as, allow them to just have fun and enjoy their summer. The day will be split into two parts. In the mornings we will offer arts & crafts, sports, laser tag, drama, and more. Campers will sign up for their morning activities every Monday and attend those throughout the week. The afternoon portion of the day  will include weekly field trips, with a big field trip on Friday. Field trips will include swimming, roller skating, bowling, and more. All staff will be background checked and fingerprinted and there will be CPR and first aid certified staff on campus at all times.

This week will be a journey into the past. Campers will explore history in fun and creative ways including group activities, the arts,and a visit to Orange County Regional History Center.
