National Bible Bee Registration

What if you could find a summer activity that would strengthen your children in their knowledge of God’s word, bring your family together for Bible study and prayer, and give you the opportunity to meet with other families for fellowship and encouragement, all while participating in an exciting national competition?

Here it is! The 2013 National Bible Bee is coming to our area. The local contest will be held on Saturday, August 24th. Contestant registration is available right now through May 31st, and is open to kids aged 7 – 18. For more information go to Bible Bee where you can register and find the closest location to you. Lemonade Day

Lemonade Day at Vista Lakes Elementary School:

160 5th grade students will be operating their Lemonade Stand businesses (40 lemonade stands) on Friday, March 31st from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

All students are preparing by going through the 14-lesson business curriculum, learning topics like planning, budgeting, finding investors, marketing, etc.

Lemonade Day is part of a national movement to teach kids life skills.

24 HORAS DE ADORACION- 24 HOUR WORSHIP

This is the second year that the Pastors Association of Kissimmee is having 24 Hours of continuous adoration and worshiping at the Osceola Heritage Park. The event will start at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 31st and will finish on Saturday, June 2nd at 7 p.m. We want to open this invitation for everyone and if there is any church interested in participating, we can check for open spots. Make 'M Smile - Free

Make ‘M Smile is excited to celebrate with an even BIGGER event than ever! Join your friends from Z88.3 and Nathaniel’s Hope around beautiful Lake Eola in Downtown Orlando for this special day. This year we are excited to see Z Artist, Heather Williams who will take the stage at the Lake Eola Ampitheater!!!

All food, activities and events are included free for VIPs and their immediate family. There is a small charge for wristbands ($3 per wristband or $10 for a 4 pack of wristbands) for others who wish to attend. The wristbands include access to everything (including food) offered at the festival.

Fitness Wars Health Fair

The Vine Church in partnership with Open Door Ministries will be facilitating a fitness competition called Fitness Wars. The event will include a wide variety of opportunities, experiences and information all relating to health and fitness. Vendors will have the ability to showcase their services or sell product while participants get ready to compete in the competition and spectators get ready to support them. This event will be the first of its kind in this community.

Among the planned events:

• The competition (Main Event)
• Music provided by DJ Deuces
• Kids area with different types of entertainment
• Food and beverages

The Vine Church has partnered up with Open Door Ministries for the past eight years, sending a group of church members to Honduras. This year will be the 8th trip to Honduras. Our partnership is a blessing that allows us to develop relationships with the children, teens, and women/men in Honduras. We all leave Honduras with our own individual memories of the children, people and special moments that touched us. Open Door Ministries is a U.S.-based non-profit organization that was started and is run by Barry and Penny Compton of Kissimmee Florida. The organization provides food distribution, construction, medical and orphanage assistance, and micro-economic aid to the children of Central America.
